Yes – Pennsylvanians from Indiana to Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh to Philadelphia are getting completely hosed on their electric bills month after month. No one….well… not many know this is happening. The ones that find out are definitely doing something about it…
Absolute craziness and I’ve just figured it all out – and I’m not having it….!!
See Pennsylvania and about 10 other states recently deregulated electricity. Some people are for this and some people are against this like anything else…but that is really besides the point. What this means for you and I is – you can go out and shop for electricity….like your shopping for a pair of new sneakers at the store. Pennelec/West Penn Energy (aka the Big Dogs)….ummmm they’re not going to tell you any of this. Don’t expect a letter in the mail saying “You don’t have to buy Electricity from us”…. and “There are cheaper companies out there to buy electricity from”…. if you think that letter is coming…I have some ocean front property in Arizona I’d love to sell ya.
You can even look below at some of these bills people have sent in recently. They are being overcharged for kilowatt usage and new companies and undercutting them big time…saving regular folks like you and I… $15, $20, $25 dollars a month. That might not seem like a lot…but let me tell you…anyone that can do the old regular style multiplication (not those weird squares) can see how quickly savings over the years can add up. That extra cash can put you on a beach with a margarita in your hand in a few years.
